Alexandr Sergeevich Frolov

A. Frolov was graduated from the Volgograd State Medical School by specialty of internal diseases in 1975. In 1977, he completed his education by appointment as staff physician at the department of nerve diseases of The First Moscow Medical School named for I.M. Sechenov. Simultaneously, he attended the course of occupational pathology in the clinical environment of the Research Institute of Labor Medicine, Moscow.Since 2006 Candidate of medical sciences in the specialty of "internal diseases".
He has been at the Institute since 1977.
A. Frolov has been appointed Main Occupational Pathologist of the Volgograd Region Health Committee
His professional interests include the issues of harmful industrial effects on workers' health, and studies in neurophysiology.
He is author of more than 40 scientific papers.

The Clinical Department is both a well organized health care unit and consultative medicine center capable of undertaking effective protection and promotion measures for chemical industry workers' health, as well as health research programmes with a major responsibility in occupational health. The Center is under supervision of the Federal Directorate of Medical, Biological and Extreme Problems at the Russian Ministry of Health.

The Department involves highly skilled professionals, all with a specialized qualification or accreditation, including academic degrees of M.D. (1 person) and Ph.D. (4 persons). All staff members have special training in occupational medicine, such as internal diseases, occupational pathology, neurology, psychoneurology, epidemiology and medical statistics, immunology, biochemistry and functional diagnosis.
